Ambar Tamang

Ambar Tamang was born and grew up in the scenic village of Khijidemba-1, Okhaldhunga, in eastern Nepal, surrounded by majestic mountains. He started his job as a porter and went to Jiri to Everest Base Camp for the first time. After that, he did a porter job many times for the next six years. Then he participated in the guide training for 45 days in 2007, which was conducted by the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management. After achieving the training he became a guide and since then he’s been working as a professional trekking guide in Nepal. Mr Ambar is an energetic, courageous and the most experienced guide on the Nepal Trek Hub team with an impressive 25 years of experience. He has a very excellent level of communication and can speak very good English. As a Guide, he has gained a massive knowledge of guiding, first aid and crisis management while on a trip. He has done almost all the trek of Nepal including the tough trek such as the Dhaulagiri circuit, Rolwaling, Tashi Lapcha pass and so on. Ambar enjoys his job and thinks that Trekking improves our physical health. Spending multiple hours on the trail, climbing around boulders, rock hopping, and ascending hills gives our whole body a workout, improving our strength, agility, and cardio fitness that is why he is always there to do any adventure.
