On Thursday late night the government of Nepal has decided stop arrival visa on-arrival tourist visas to all countries due to the current Coronavirus situations around the globe. After the WHO announce the current outbreak as a pandemic and urged to all countries to take all precautionary measures.
The meeting was organized by Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwar Pokhrel, who took the decision to this effect on Thursday.
The meeting also decided to stop all Traveller movement (India and Nepal) land routes and adhere to strict quarantine measures at the border.but yet there is No decision has been made to shut down school and collage or any public service sectors.
If in case an emergency foreigners who wants to visit Nepal have to submit the medical certificate that they are free from corona in the respective Nepal aboard mission. “The certificate should not crosses the week”. The official said. The visa will be also stopped for the tourist who wants to visit to Nepal via land routes. According to the official, all spring expeditions, including Everest, have been cancelled.

The remaining tourist who are in Nepal is also backing their countries so there is no tourist in Thamel or Pokhara even. The second best season for Nepal trek will be empty this year. Thousand of trekkers trek to Everest base camp trek, Annapurna base camp trek, Annapurna and Langtang this time.
