Manaslu Circuit Trek itineraries can be different duration variations as per the route and the acclimatization days you want to take on the Manaslu trekking. To be more specific, if you make the short hike as compared to the normal then it could be more days and if you add the Tsum valley on the Manaslu then it could be more days Manaslu trek itinerary. Your choice makes the big difference for Manaslu hiking which can be 18 Days (Arrival to Departure ) and more. We are going to give you all the itinerary options to the hikers who wish to go to Mnalsu trekking for their next adventure.


Some clarification of the Manaslu trek Itineraries

Most of the itineraries you find come with rest days in Sama Gaon and Samdo respectively for 2 days. Why? These two villages of the Manaslu trek are just beyond stunning. The two villages offer the various side trips options to the trekkers with the opportunity of acclimatization. The 15 days Manaslu trek is a normal and very liked program from most of the trekkers which consist of 2 days acclimatization in Samagaun and Samdo. You can hike to Manaslu Base camp or go to Phungen Gompa while you are in Samagaun. In Samdo you can hike to Samdo hill. Tibetan border is also options while you are in Samdo village.

To expand more days you can rest in a Bhimthang to explore the Ponker Lake and surrounding areas of Bhim Thang or stay 2 days in Samdo to go to Tibet Border. You can also extend your trek doing the trek in Annapurna circuit trail as well. There are off-road trails where you can easily trek. Let’s look at some Manaslu trek itinerary variations.

Manaslu Trek Itinerary (14-15 Days)

The normal and the most liked itinerary for Manaslu circuit trek.

15 days Manaslu circuit trek is the best itinerary for the trekkers who have a 2 and half weeks holiday to do Adventure trek in Nepal. The Manaslu circuit trek 15 days consist 2 days acclimatization in Samagaun and Samdoo respectively and 2 days to go Soti Khola and 1 day to drive in Kathmandu so all in all 13 days total walking days. Our 15 days itinerary is suitable for most of the trekkers.

Note: The Manaslu trek itinerary can be also done in 14 days by taking the jeep from Dharapani so it saves a day.

The most comfortable itinerary which suits people aged over 50.

This is more relaxing and time-consuming trek itinerary as compared to the first itinerary and suits the people who have less energy. The itinerary has more acclimatization days and it is very good for the people who love to explore nature more and consume the quality time on the Himalayas. Yes, you can do the Manaslu trek with the first itinerary too but if you want to explore more and have some extra days to explore the Himalayas then it is a very good itinerary for you. Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek Itinerary 22 Days

The longest Manaslu trek with sight trips to the Tsum Valley which explore the indigenous people of the Tsum valley and their cultures.


Tsum valley is an isolated valley located in the north of the Gorkha on the other side of the Manaslu circuit trek. The Trek to Tsum valley starts from the Nyak Phedi and ends there and you keep going to Deng. The Tsum valley is a cultural home for the Buddhists people where there are so many monasteries and the majestic Himalayas. Ganesh Himal and the other peaks around 7000 Meters are visible from the Tsum Valley trek. Trekkers are very interested to know the people’s lifestyle and culture of the area. This is actually the best place to see the most isolated part of the trek. After you return to the Manaslu circuit trek, you would continue the Manaslu route. You can see the Mt Manaslu 8,153 Meters, Buddha Himal, Ngadi peak, Cheo Himal while you trek to Manaslu and cross the Larke la pass like.
