Fikuri/Phikuri trek is one of the less touristy, short and most rural treks of Nepal to explore the culture, nature, and mountain scenery. This is one of the most unknown and newly opened trekking trails for the trekkers who wish to go somewhere very isolated to see the wild natural beauty and the ever-smiling local people. Fikuri trek is very suitable for the people who wish to go to a quiet place, where they can enjoy nature and local cultural traditions very much. 8-9 days are enough to explore this trek for the trekkers. In this short trek you can see the best view of Langtang Lirung (7,234m/23,734ft), Ganesh Himal (7,422m/24350ft), Manasalu (8,163m/26,781ft), Goshainkunda (4,380m/14,370ft).

What to see on Fikuri Trek?

Like other treks of Nepal, fikuri trek goes through the dense local settlements of Nuwakot. You can see the different types of local inhabitants and their unique cultures. The mixed cultures along the trekking trails are the major things to see with the incredible nature. Most of the locals of the Phikuri area are Tamang Ethnic groups. Tamang people are very rich in cultures and traditions. Their death funeral highlighted things to see if they are performing it. There are other inhabitants like Brahmin, Chhetri, Gurungs and Blacksmiths. Blacksmiths are the people who create weapons and equipment for other people. The local people still use Jhankri (Shaman) for the treatment of sick people locally even though they know that they should go to Hospital. Likewise, you can see the incredible view of the Himalayan range while trekking to Phikuri

Is Fikuri Trek a tea house or camping trek?

For your information Fikuri trek is a camping trek. Since it is a newly open trekking trail there is not good accommodation and hotels. If you wish to do a comfort trek then you should do the fully camping trek. The camping trek is very luxurious with meals plus you will sleep on the tent. We bring everything from Kathmandu. If you are budget travellers then we can also do the homestay trek but you should know that homestay trek is quite tough as you completely rely on the local house. The sleeping mattress and the food are not that delicious.
