The monsoon season starts in June and lasts till September. Trekkers still do the trekking in the Monsoon season but there is no guarantee that they can enjoy it because of the rainfalls and clouds on the Himalayas. Landslides and floods are other problems that trekkers can face. We do not recommend trekkers to trek in the Monsoon season if they can postpone their trek.

Winter season

December, January, and February are the months that get very cold weather in Nepal. Snowfalls in the Himalayas are very common and often the mountains get covered with clouds. We do not recommend trekkers to trek to Tilicho Lake in the Winter season.
