Heaving the Flight is time-saving and faster and saves your days. If the weather goes bad and you can not fly then you have to take the car to go Pokhara from Kathmandu for Annapurna trek.
The same trek can be done in 9-10 days including the arrival and Departure with the tourist bus transportations which cost you around 714$ per person. With this cost, the hotel accommodations in Kathmandu and Pokhara are not included and you can choose by yourself. Travelling by the tourist bus is quite long and stressful because it takes 7-8 hours. With the tourist bus, you need 2 more days on your holidays which makes it 9 days total and on Day 10 you can depart.
Trekkers can choose the private car instead of the Tourist bus. Having a car is always beneficial for you because it is more reliable and comfortable. This is a normal and usual route for the trekkers. With this, the trekkers can see the stunning mountain range from Poon Hill and go to Even Annapurna base camp. Travelling with the tourist bus will cost you less but takes 2 more days.
Travelling with the bus may take time which will be harder for the trekkers. Around 8-9 hours bus journey is compulsory to reach Pokhara and to arrive Kathmandu. You need to stay 2 Nights in Pokhara after and before the trek and the trek cost you on the above itinerary is 750$.
Very few travellers choose a car to go to Pokhara and return from Pokhara. This will be similar like the tourist bus but more convenient and private. This will cost you around the 850$.
