Annapurna Base Camp Trek 7 days itinerary and the cost

The shortest Annapurna base camp trek which starts from ghandruk and ends at Ghandruk

  • First Day : Arrival in Kathmandu 1350 Meter
  • Second Day: Fly to Pokhara then to Chomrong 2300 Meter 6-7 Hours needed 3 Hours driving
  • Third Day: Chomrong to Himalaya Hotel 2920 Meter 7-8 Hours needed
  • Fourth Day: Himalaya Hotel to Machhapurche Base Camp 3800 Meter 5-6 Hours needed
  • Fifth Day: Machhapurche Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp 4130 Meter and back to Dovan 2600 Meter 8-9 Hours needed
  • Sixth Day: Dovan to Jhinu 1400 Meter 5-6 Hours needed
  • Seventh Day: Jhinu to Pokhara 800 Meter 6-7 Hours, then fly to Kathmandu

Cost with the Flight Options

With the round flight options the Annapurna base camp trek can be even done in just 7 days and it costs you around 690$ per person around. Heaving the Flight is time-saving and faster and saves your days. If the weather goes bad and you can not fly then you have to take the car to go Pokhara from Kathmandu for Annapurna trek.


Annapurna base camp trek with the Tourist Bus

The same trek can be done in 9-10 days including the arrival and Departure with the tourist bus transportations which cost you around 714$ per person. With this cost, the hotel accommodations in Kathmandu and Pokhara are not included and you can choose by yourself. Travelling by the tourist bus is quite long and stressful because it takes 7-8 hours. With the tourist bus, you need 2 more days on your holidays which makes it 9 days total and on Day 10 you can depart.


By private car

Trekkers can choose the private car instead of the Tourist bus. Having a car is always beneficial for you because it is more reliable and comfortable. If you take the car then it costs you around 814$ for the trek including the car transportations. For the 7 days trek with the car, it takes 9 days too.


Annapurna Base Camp Trek with the Poon Hill itinerary and cost.

This is a normal and usual route for the trekkers. With this, the trekkers can see the stunning mountain range from Poon Hill and go to Even Annapurna base camp. This is a more time-consuming route but very worthy. The trek starts from Nayapool and ends at either Nayapool or Kande. The itinerary we have mentioned here ends at Jhinu.

  • Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani 2675 M, 7-8 Hours

  • Day 06: Tadapani to Chomrong 2170 M, 6-7 Hours

  • Day 07: Chomrong to Himalaya 2900 M, 8-9 Hours

  • Day 08: Himalaya Hotel to Machapuchhare Base Camp 3800 M, 5-6 Hours

  • Day 09:Machapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna base camp 4130 M then to Bamboo 2600 M, 8-9 Hours

  • Day 10:Bamboo to Jhinu 1400 M, 5-6 Hours

  • Day 11: Jhinu to Pokhara

  • Day 12: Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus

  • Day 13: Your departure day

By using the Flights

If you use the flights Kathmandu – Pokhara – Kathmandu on the above itinerary that we mentioned above, it will reduce the 2 days. Flights are fast, convenient and reliable to travel from Kathmandu and Back to Kathmandu. With the flights you can go on a trek in the same days that you fly from Kathmandu. The cost will be around the 920$ without the Hotel Accomodation in Pokhara and Kathmandu.


By using the tourist Bus

Travelling with the tourist bus will cost you less but takes 2 more days.

Travelling with the bus may take time which will be harder for the trekkers. Around 8-9 hours bus journey is compulsory to reach Pokhara and to arrive Kathmandu. You need to stay 2 Nights in Pokhara after and before the trek and the trek cost you on the above itinerary is 750$.


By Using the car

Very few travellers choose a car to go to Pokhara and return from Pokhara. This will be similar like the tourist bus but more convenient and private. This will cost you around the 850$.
