The time for the trek is an extremely important factor because the experience of the trek depends on the time. Simply time is vital for the best experience. It is also very important that due to the time limit trekkers must know which time is good for them to experience and they can take the decision before they travel. Spring and Autumn(fall) season are the best seasons to explore the Annapurna base camp within a 5 days time frame.
In general, the autumn season starts at the end of September and last till the second or third week of December. The period in between is the best time to do the 5-day Annapurna base camp hike. Due to the post-monsoon season, the possibility of rain is very low, the sky is clear, and you can see the mountain very clearly. The time is neither hot nor cold so you can have a very good temperature during this period. the countryside as well as you can also see the people are ready to harvest rice at this time. This time is considered the best time of the year to trek.
The last week of February, March, April and May months known as a spring season trek time in Nepal. The visibility and sky are very clean and you can see the best view of the mountains. There is less chance of rainfall and snowfall around the trekking areas. This allows trekkers to enjoy the trek very much. In the trekking trails, the forest gets different types of flowers. You can see the rhododendron forest gets totally colourful because of the flowers this time.
Trekkers can trek in Annapurna base camp throughout the year but June July is a rainy season, leeches, floods, landslides and a cloudy sky are the problem of this time. You can not enjoy the trek this time plus there are different types of natural obstacles.
December and January are the coldest months, in this month the temperature is very cold, and the weather is mostly cloudy so it means you can not see a good view of the Himalayas. You can choose any month by seeing your time.

The 5-day Annapurna Base Camp trek is a moderate type of trek. Annapurna Base Camp is located at an altitude of 4,130 meters. This is not a high-altitude base camp, so trekkers should not worry about the AMS but precautions should be done. The daily trekking time is 6-8 hours because it is a short hike with a significant amount of distance. The trails to Annapurna Base Camp are well-maintained, and in some areas, there are many stairs to make it easier for trekkers. Some trekkers find this annoying, but it is done for their convenience. The stairs are made for the monsoon season easy because in monsoon the trails become muddy and slippery.
Generally, trekkers will not have to climb difficult slopes or walk on icy trails very much. However, it can be more difficult during snowfall, as this makes the trails icy and slippery. In addition, there is a lower risk of altitude sickness. Ups and downs with a series of stone steps are part of the Annapurna Base Camp hikes. The availability of teahouses makes the trek easier on these routes. Overall, if you are able to walk 6-8 hours a day on mountainous terrain, you can easily complete the Annapurna Base Camp trek.
The trek formally starts today with a drive to Samrung from Pokhara. Kiumi is the last station that the jeep goes from Pokhara. The Jeep ride takes around 3 hours and is very enjoyable with stunning Himalayan scenery and green hills. The road to Kiumi is not that good at last but at the start, it is quite ok. There is a tourist check-post at Birethanti where permits are checked to enter the trekking of the Annapurna base camp. When you arrive at Kiumi, you can see the stunning view of Mt Fishtail, Annapurna south 7219 Meters, Himchuli 6400 Meters and Landruk villages. The trek starts from Kiumi which goes to the north following the Modi River upstream and you will see the longest suspension bridge in the Annapurna Region. Just crossing the bridge you will arrive at Jhinu Village. Jhinu is a small settlement and a very good place to enjoy natural hot springs. The hot spring is 15 minutes from Jhinu on the Bank of the Modi River. From Jhinu, the trek goes up climbing stairs to Chomrong which takes around 2 hours. Chomrong offers the best view of the Annapurna Himalayan ranges and it is the biggest Gurung village on the Annapurna base camp trails. Here you can see Gurung cultures, traditions and lifestyles and how they farm. Going down from Chomrong we cross another bridge and climb up to Lower Sinuwa. The Lower Sinuwa is the destination for today.
I booked a 10-day trek around the Annapurna region with Nepal Trek Hub. From the beginning of Communication, I was asking so many questions regarding Annapurna Trek. Every time I got my answer so quickly. Shreeram was the best man to solve each and every query regarding this Annapurna Trek. I had so much information regarding the Annapurna Trekking so I was well prepared regarding types of equipment and gear. On arrival, Shreeram Pick Up me from the airport. We had a nice conversation in hotel regarding my trip. My Guide Rajesh was there to meet me and afterwards, rajesh took care of everything. He was hero of my trip not only as a guide but also as a friend. As I am alone I was frightened that I could be board but that thing did not happen to me as Rajesh was so funny
Being single it is hard to get the accommodation in Annapurna as I understood myself, but my guide managed me super accommodation everyday. We were doing Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek with Annapurna Base Camp. As my guide was Encyclopedia, I understood many things regarding Nepal such as how Nepal formed. What is its history? What are the culture and ethnicity? Language, politics, rural life and many other things that other travellers do not care about.
I was so lucky in terms of weather because from the start of my trek to end, it was crystal clear weather so I saw many mountains, terrains and landscapes. It was also good to see the rhododendron flowers blooming in the forest. I enjoyed the mesmerizing view of the Forest and mountains.
I saw Mt.Annapurna, Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri, Fishtail mountain and many other beautiful peaks around the region. It was quite narrow valley but the scenery was amazing itself plus I got more impression that the local porters were carrying 60-70 kg easily in baskets to the hotel’s supplies. And the more interesting thing is they were in flip-flops.
Overall, my experience with Nepal Trek Hub was super. They were kind and helpful as well as very professional in their profession. They are about the client’s need and what they want. They were also very happy to customize the trip even in office or in Trip as well. I can recommend to anyone who is going to Nepal for any trip.
